HOW TO: AWD and RWD conversions and the B-series chassis

As far as this FAQ is concerned, this conversion does not currently exist in a street car.

There very well could be one somewhere, but it's top secret and hidden if that is the case. To actually do this would require significant amounts of time and money.

KN13 Pulsar - there is no B12 pulsar. Though the AWD rear end came out of a B12 sentra AWD wagon!

It would be much much easier to use a fuel cell for that instead.

Fuel cell is the only way to go there man. YOu won't be able to bolt up the AWD gas tank properly at all. The gear ratios are pretty much there if you stick to nissan parts.

The B12 Sentra and KN13 pulsar are still built on the same chassis though, and what worked on one will work on the other for the most part.

True, very true.. But all you need is Shot Peening, Cryo Treating, and Welding the Case is gonna help out. Plus My friend knows guys who make custom gears so, gear ratios can be made to match the GTi-R tranny from the Se-R one.. It's gonna be a long of trial and error process, but hey..

Any help, can be greatly appreciated...

No reason to go through all that! THe GTi-R trans has a couple options of custom gear sets that are super strong. Just search around out there. The stock gears are also good for 350whp solid.

350whp is about 260wKW and I've seen a few of the Pulsar Group of Australia member owned GTiR boxes (stock) blow the third gear into tiny pieces with less than that power level. Though if the power is only transfered to the rear wheels then perhaps more of that power will be lost in lack of traction without the FWD output putting that extra strain on the box.

There is one GTiR I have seen pics of in Australia that is running as a RWD drag car. Here's a thread out of the PGA forums
http://forum.pulsar.org.au/showthrea...****=RWD+GTi-R

oh hehe and here's a vid of him not knowing how to drift it yet.. hehehehe this is madness.

I understand that man, I know that that it doesn't take much to blow these boxes up. All I was saying is that I have a 350whp car now and it has held up to the abuse. He will be RWD so less load and less strain. No matter what he does, shifting will be a bitch cause the rod will be sitting by the rear bumper and he has to figure out how to shift it!
