I think the motors come with automatic transmissions? If so it has a flex plate, therefore yeah you need a SE-R flywheel

When you say this you mean:

A Manual GA16DE harness mating to a Manual SR20DE harness correct? If that is the case what about a Auto GA16DE harness mating up to a Auto SR20DE harness........?

I have a GA16 auto and I will be putting in a SR20 manual and I don't think the GA16 auto harness will work............Chime chime......if you know different

^So is it the 2.0 underdash harness that's giving you problems or all of it?

No...its a 5 speed manual AWD transmission that came with my engine. So do I still need a flywheel?

Yeah, out of all the threads that I have read it has been the ACTUAL sr20de ENGINE HARNESS that is needed not the underdash..........I purchased the sr20de ENGINE harness the underdash will be ok........

From what I have searched it does not matter if you use a sr20de AUTO or MANUAL "Engine Harness" you will just have some extra plugs hanging for the tranny part because the AUTO has more plugs........I will post a pic of the MANUAL and AUTO tanny's when I get home to show what I am talking about......

If im correct bj yours is a 98?? If so thats where it went wrong...ive preached this over and over but no one listens...You can not use a 95-97 harness on a 98-99 b14 unless you swap the interior harness..maybe even the whole engine bay harness. As i just went thru all this.

98-99 ga16 will not hook up to a 95-97 sr20 harness, you must find all 98 ser stuff to make it happen as the interior plugs where changed...how ever if you do like me mention above, i swapped the ecu and interior harness to a 95-97 sr20 harness, even then my fans didnt work right, so i ended up switching the whole engine bay harness. just to get my fans to kick on by the ecu...

great... I'm doing the same..
just to tell ya.. 94 XE auto wire harness is backwards.. power to starter is sperate by it self.. Distributor sensor goes from the bigger connecter on top of the tranny.. then it goes to the tranny sensors..
the engine harness goes from Ecu to engine and other intake manifold sensors than injectors..
The TPS.. and SR20DET sensors next to the powersteerling pump.. needs to be extended.. and only two sensors match up..

Better over all to just use.. 91-94 SE-R wireharness..

wires under the dash is also something else to play with.. so you can get your gauge cluster to work..

with all this stuff in my mind, I haven't be able to get my car running..
So please put up pictures and a write up how to do a 1.6 AUTO to 2.0 swap wires...!!!!

thanks you,

tsua

Wiring problem

Hello!
I have some problem on my swap in my Primera P10 96mod.
From ga16?? (monopoint) to SR20DE 91 mod
The engine comes from an NX2000 91mod but it fits straight in my engine bay.

My problem is some junctions and wiring over the transmission:
This is from the engine:

This is on my primera:

My other problem is under the dash:

From engine:

I’ve noted down the colors on the in the connectors:

I’ve tried to look trough the repair manual but I don’t find all of the wires there.
I hope someone could help me out on this one.

Sorry for my bad English.
Thanks!
