HOW TO: Wire Up B13 Power Folding Mirrors

ok first off.. do one side at a time, i chose to do the passenger

What you need:
Phillips Screwdriver
Wire Strippers
Crimper
Quick Disconnects/Butt Connectors
Electrical Tape
i used 20-22 gauge wire(Stranded).

1. Get your screwdriver and start taking out the screws from the door panel.. i tried to wire it in with the door panel in place and it just took way to long, there will be some screws on the bottom and the inside of the door.. behind the door handle there is on and the cup area there is another.. put them in a safe place.. next just gently pull and it should start to come except for the roll up handle for the windows.. i dont have power ones.. u need to pry it off once it comes off the door panel will.

2. look at the are where the side view mirror is at, there should be 2 gold screws, take those out and slide the black peice down, it will reveal 3 black ones, these are the ones that hold the mirror in place take all those out.. once i disconnected the plug for the power it came out.

3. there should be a rubber peice on the back side of both the USDM and the JDM mirror.. i switched it over because it seemed like it would fit better, i then screwed them back in place.

4. The harness on my jdm was 2 prongs bigger the usdm i had.. so i just cut them and matched the 3 colors that matched with the JDM and USDM.. there should be two colors that dont match on the JDM ones.. that is Orange and Pink, i dont remember the colors of the three, they should be the same. So once you wire up the regular ones start threading two wires that are two different colors(i chose black and red) through the door jam and in to the kick panel area, i then went under the carpet and led it to the driver side which i then manuevered it through everything to come out the hole where the USDM switch was at(u gotta pop the old switch out, i used a flat head, Unscrew the big plastic peice underneath the steering wheel so you can see.

5. so once you have the appropriate length of wire through the car cut it and wire them up to the mirrors... i wired up the black wire to the Orange wire that came off the mirror and the red wire to the pink one, use your connecters and use electrical tape on each single one, use zip ties if u wanna be neat. Start putting everything in reverse order.

6. Do the exact same thing on the drivers side and have the wires poking out of the hole where the switch was.

7. Were gonna wire up the USDM switch to the JDm switch, youll see that the USDM has 9 wires and the JDM has 11, match the nine on the USDM with the JDM, most of them are the same color i think there is
black to black
red/blue to red/blue
yellow/black to yellow/black
blue/black to blue/black
yellow/red to the other yellow wire
purple/black to purple/black
purple to the other purple
there is two others that are pretty easy to find, not hard at all

8. the JDM switch has TWO GREEN wires, one with a black wire and one with out, thats where the folding comes from, what WERE gonna do is take the wires that we ran and combine them
i took both black wires that i ran from each mirror and twisted them together, i put the quick disconnect on it and attached it to the top green wire
I took both red wires from each mirror and twisted those together and attached it to the bottom green wire..

now turn it on and press the switch, they should move according to the little picture on the switch, if they are backwards then switch them and itll work
i know i wrote a lot but it took me a while since i was guessing along the way, any questions feel free to PM me or leave a comment
If i left something out just leave a msg and i will edit it when i get a chance thanks!

I finally got mine done!!

When I turned the car on the driver side mirror was backwards. Which was fun to watch for a minimum of 5 minutes.

Anyways. This write-up if perfect.
