i know this is an old thread and i tried searching.. maybe not enough for some people.. but i just wanted to know if there was a certain way to use the ac button for the fans without having to have the inside air/heater fans on/blowing. i have a 93 nx2k and my ac switch only comes on while having them on or would i just have to rewire the switch itself.
Thanks

I just recently hard wired my radiator fan on my 91' B13 SR20DE-T and found that the wire you should be looking for is a white wire with a green stripe (at least that is the one that I used and it seemed to work). The wire goes from the ecu to a relay attached to the ecu and then runs from that relay to the engine. I tapped the wire that was coming from the relay not the one going from the ecu to the relay. I used a wire tap to attach to that wire and used another wire tap on the orange wire in the engine bay that is on the harness that connects to the radiator fan (the connector/plug that plugs into the fan itself). I then used 16 gauge wire and ran the wires to an illuminated switch (from Autozone) that I placed next to the dimmer switch. I also ran the ground to the firewall (there were some screws just hanging out waiting for me to use them). The switch works perfectly and I no longer have to worry about over-heating while stuck in traffic.
just tried te scheme in first post, but it doesnt work on my 91' nissan pulsar SR20DE+T....tapped into SOLID BLUE #9, but my switch lights up at once, seems like BLUE wire gives GROUND all the time. Maybe some other needs to be tapped? FAN still doesnt work.

That's because your car is a '91 and has different wire colors than a '93. I think you need to tap a blue-white or blue-black wire, don't recall though.
thanks for reply. But i foun #9 solid blue... BTW in #10 there is BLUE with black strip wire. But in this topic, it is mentioned for automatic transs...so didnt use it. Maybe i should tap to this wire?
Tried to read FSM, but my diagrams doesnt show relation with ECU. Seems like FAN has its own scheme and works regarding termistor...

Pulsar's might have different wiring. I think you'll need to get a look at the wiring behind your fan relay and see what colors they are. Use a meter to figure out which one is running back to the ECU, that's the wire you'll need to tap into. Also, you need to make sure you're connecting the switch correctly. Take the switch out and check for continuity to ground on the wire you connected to the ECU, it shouldn't be there all the time. Then try grounding that wire and turn the car on, fans should come on, then disconnect and see if they turn off. You'll want to do it quick so you don't mistake the ECU grounding the relay.
