I think he made so much money with the ECUs, that he quit his real job and all other side jobs and went vacationing in Aruba!

Hey Garfield if you go to the market place link on the top of the forum they have them here. Your going to have to ship your ECU to him and pay for shipping back for him to install it.

re daughterboards for 20$

Notice that it has four mounting holes on the edges. This is for doing exactly what you describe, and yes, it works great. Oh, you need the right kind of IDE cable though, some have the center pin filled it. If you want to mount a daughterboard like this I can supply the right cable part number from digikey, although they sell them for about $20.

How do I purchase

I checked market place and I am only seeing one for $115 and you have to send in your ecu.

I would like to do it myself, so if I could get the board and if possible the other components with a layout of how they shoud be install that would be great.

"Question: Is there a daughterboard that I can plug my laptop into and flash the roms without removing them from the car?

Answer: Not right now. What you can do is run a dual rom emulator setup and tune the car in real-time, then when your happy with your tune just burn that to a set of roms and not fool with it. Thats pretty effective, how often do you really want to fiddle with your ecu?"

I want much more info before i buy the daughterboard anybody in WI with one that i can come check out?? I want to be able to tune the car whenever I want. Whenever I change a part, or hopefully an engine But I dont want to have to remove the chips from the ECU ever, can this be accomplished yet??? I dont neccesairely need live tuning, but at least when the car is off, reprogram the chip quick, restart the car, and voila

I help tune my buds camaro, all he does is plug into the obd port, and from there, he can datalog and download maps and basically whatever he wants, then, he can piss with it, and when the engine isnt running but the key is in the "on" position, he can d/l the new program, no burner or anything like that, all thru the obd port, is there anything comparable for our cars?? blah, im just so frustrated, i want to be able to tune w/o emanage or spending tons of $$$$$ on a stand alone, SAFC is not an option, as i want to be able to tune rev limiter, timing, knock sensor, hehe, anyway to put a camaro ecu in my car? lol, kidding btw

I opened up my ecu and found that it has a daughterboard.

Previous owner said that it was installed to pass emission test.

If I remove it, will it return to a normal u13 ecu?

Will I have to change the jumpers on the back of the ecu or something?

I had a local tuner order my daughter board from a compnay in Australia... the board its self was only $75 and he sent my ecu you a local electronics guy and had all the the terminals and jumpers done for another $35... and the board he ordered is a two chip board and each chip holds two different maps... so we are going to play around and put 4 different tuning programs in it so we can wire a 4 position switch and run 4 different tunes without having to take the chips out and re-burn them.... I know i sound stupid cause i dont know much about this stuff thats why i have a tuner doing it... but it was just an imput maybe i can get him some customers if it works out well and it is cheaper than JWT... just a thought guys

Yes your right. I don't understand what your saying. How would he program the chips without taking them out? Dosen't sound like the BiBki rom at all.

Rom Editor I think there is a link in Calums section. There is another one call Live Edit. You might have to search for that one. Romeditor is simple and easy to use. Live edit is if you want to live edit but you need 2 romulators to make it work on the SR20 ecu. The whole 2 chip thing blows for that.
