HOW TO: Reset a flashing airbag light

I read this on the Nissan Forums and I tired it on my friends 95 Maxima. Well I'll be damned! It works. I hear it works on B14's and Altimas of that vintage too!

Open driver door
Get in
Shut door
Turn ignition to the on position The one that will go all the way, but not to start car)
Open door
Reach down with your right hand if your a rightty
Press the door ajar sensor button thing (7) times
Shut door
Start your car.....

You gotta do it a few times to get it right. The faster you do it the more chances it has to reset. If you do it too slow it will seem like it does not work. Make sure you take out the key forst before you start the process.

Has anyone tried it on a B13 yet? Also, I pulled out the fuse, so instead of a blinking light, it just constantly stays on.

I tried this trick the way my car is now, and it has not worked. Do I need to have the fuse in there, and the light blinking?

NO, I assume it is an OBDII thing cause it only seems to work on 95- cars.

If the light is flashing, shouldn't you get that checked out by a pro? Nothing like having a malfunctioning airbag when you get into a wreck...
