The long lost T25/T28 parts list thread

Note: This thread originally was online, but was mistakenly deleted. Old backups were used to get it back, but it had to be manually copied-and-pasted here.

Original thread started by Ben.

---

After doing much research, this is what I have found that will work well for those of you bolting a T25 or T28 setup to your originally naturally aspirated SR20DE.

Starting at the block where the stock oil pressure sending unit for the dash idiot light is:

1. http://www.nissport.com/catalog/prod...EquipmentType=

This goes in place of the oil pressure sending unit into the block. The stock sender fits in the female end of this piece (not seen because it is sitting on that end), and there are three 1/8" NPT female ports used to connect your feed line and other items, such as an oil pressure gauge sending unit or oil temp sending unit. $49.00

2. http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthrea...threadid=35577

.060" oil restrictor. This is to ensure the proper amount of oil is getting to your T25. Unrestricted oil flow will blow through the turbo oil seals and coat the insides of your intercooler pipes. It has 1/8" NPT threads will fit into the nissport adapter. $15.00

3. http://www.anplumbing.com : -3 steel NPT male (P/N 961603)

This is to fit the straight end of the braided line into the oil restrictor. $1.24

4. http://www.anplumbing.com : -3 steel braided 44” brakeline (P/N 63011744)
This is the line itself. It has -3AN female ends on it. One end is straight, the other is a curved 90 degree piece. $26.08

5. http://www.anplumbing.com : -3AN to 7/16-20 brake adapter (P/N 591932) edit comments from myprojectB13 - "The correct size is a -3 AN to 7/16-24. It is part #591932, but AN Plumbing has it listed as a 7/16-20 on their site."

This is to fit the 90 degree angle end of the above braided line into your T25. $7.31

TOTAL COST: $98.63

Thanks to SERPrise in WV, myprojectB13, and the folks at nissport.com for adding to this article.

on a 3 way tee, i would plug the feed into the middle one, and the oil pressure sending unit and restrictor on opposing sides. that way, the turbo and oil pressure gauge get the same readings. if you put the feed and turbo opposite each other, oil will shoot from one to the other without giving you an accurate reading.

I would imagine that using teflon tape wouldn't hurt anything.

ok, i am getting a stock t28 setup soon TMIC and all. however i am replacing all the lines. i have bought all the parts to make my feed line minus the stainless line, i am unclear on how long it needs to be. in this thread it says 3.5 feet (44 inches) i have read else were "for a stock setup you dont need anymore than 12 inches." thats a massive differance and i dont want to end up with a crap load of extra hose i need to stuff inside my engine bay.

also, i have not found much at all about the oil return and water feed/return lines. for the oil drain, does it just drain directly into the oil pan? what parts will i need for the drain line and water lines?

you have to drill the block for the return line and the oil feed line is pretty long it has to go around the whole motor i dont really know where the water lines come from but i will check for you later

Recommended that it sits on the turbine.

You can hook up a total of 4 items. 3 on the sides, and one on the top. (stock sending unit goes on top)

Heres a heads up, you cant put the restrictor near the turbine, there are no fittings available to make the necessary conversions from a 3an to the restrictor and back to the inlet fittings. I couldnt find a female/female 1/8npt to -3an adapter.

At the block fittings is the easiest.

ok...now what fittings do you need for the water lines? I just bought a t25 setup...the oil lines i figured out..I know where I can source the water lines...But do i use the stock water lines or get some new ones? and if new ones are recommended, what type of lines and size? And also what size do you drill the block and then does anyone have part numbers and fitting sizes for the block tap and fitting for oil return?
