I have a 97 200sx se-r and of course the regular sr20de engine. It's a manual tranny that needs a shift kit and to be completely rebuilt. I bought the car for 3k 2 years ago and it now has 112k miles on it. The shift kit along with the rebuild will be approximately $2,700. Is this car even worth keeping or should i just get rid of it. So i gues the main question is it worthwhile to put this kind of money into then the extra costs of mods?...Thanks...

Wanted to say thanks to all who have contributed their knowledge to the roastedpavement.com forum over the past couple of years. You have helped turn it into a great, centralized resource for FWD/AWD SR20DET info. This was of course the intent of the website. Hope to see you all continuing to contribute to the forum!
A couple of noteworthy news items:
1) I have modified the forum a bit to keep spammers and other unwanted guests off of it.
2) I have shuffled moderators to better manage the forum. This helps keep valuable information organized and easy to find.
3) Thanks to the contributions of valuable knowledge from registered members, the forum continues to increase in search engine rankings which helps FWD/AWD SR20DET enthusiasts find the info and data they need easier.
Thanks again!

nice, i may know a thing or two about turbocharging one of those dal dang sentras
Well, I do have some questions about turbo charging. Mainly, I am trying to find the dimentions of a intercooler that these cars can use. I am lucky to have a co-workers dad who can build these darn things but need some specs, for example how wide, how thin and how tall. Wondering if you can help...jimboalayon@hotmail.com
Yeah, I'm still having problems with spammers. I've been adding code to counteract it but the crap is out of control! It's a constant battle.
We had the same thing on our site and I enabled a setting so I have to approve every single member before they can post. You look up their IP and delete from there. It's still a PITA but at least those spammer machines wont clog up our site.

Hey guys, the roasted pavement forum just underwent a massive facelift. There are tons more features and functionality now. There are also more measures taken against the SPAM that the forum kept receiving. Hope you enjoy.
i just bought a avenir motor for my classic, the turbo was locked up bfore i bought it and the cams are rusted really bad. also the exhaust port in the #1 cylinder has alot of burnt on oil, about an 1/8th inch thick, is the motor any good? they said they'll send another turbo when they get one, but i would like to upgrade to a t28 or disco potato, but i dont know how much they go for. help me please.
1) The forum is officially spam-free! Since the overhaul of the forum earlier this year, I have had absolutely ZERO spammers on the forum.
2) I have added a customized SR20-based search engine to the main roastedpavement.com site (on the home page). The search engine only searches a handful of sites that I have personally cherry-picked. These sites contain valuable info on SR20-powered cars. This way, instead of weeding through thousands of irrelevent search results that might come up on Yahoo!
