fastest way to get 400whp?

Im trying to start up a new project and i wanted to know what you guys think is the fastest way to get 400whp daily driver i was thinking sr20ve(t) gime some ideas

400whp in your only car is a bad idea

if you want it, I say go precision SC61, JWT ecu, z32 MAF, 72lb injectors, log manifold, FMIC, 3" turbo back, ect ect.

yeah you should have a back up car, trust me i know waiting for a bus is a bitch, i say try GT28RS and spray a shot of nitrious.

If you want it to be relaible and not have the biggest turbo you can find, get an sr20vet and slap on a gt2871R or the BB37R jgy turbo. At 20 psi you should easily make over 400whp and be as reliable as goign to get. The sr20vet comes with 280hp, if you upon the boost on the factory t28 you can prob get around 350hp, which is around 320whp. If thats not enoug hpower, go with a gt2871R.

where is he gonna get a VET and how much are they going for?



also to everyone else that is poking fun, he doesnt have to drive with 400whp all day if he keeps it on his lowest boost setting he should be around 280-300whp with that setup will described

the 2871 will be strained at 400whp. I'd go one bigger, like the GT30 series. As for the motor, I'd stay away from the VE because its higher compression and no one makes a set of cams for it yet. So the only way you'd get to 400whp with that motor would be to run race gas. A VET will be hard to come by and I'd bet some of the parts aren't easily available for it.

Just get a DET; tons of parts, and it'll do 400whp on pump gas.

Easyest way .... Basic T3/T04e on a Log , 3" exhaust ,JWT 72lb , Z32 MAF , FMIC ..... on a Forged 8.5:1 piston, ballanced stock Rods/crank with S3's ..... Thats what we are running , and its a good 400WHP at 22lbs boost .... capable of 25 lbs .....
daily streetable ... well mabie , but its not much fun unless your nuts and have tons of $$ for front tires .... Kinda scarrrry if you ask me ...and no way its gona DEQ !!!
250WHP is about enough for a daily FWD car ....All depends on what you consider daily driver .....After that the HP just isnt useable on street tires .... Not going fast when the tires just spin ....

someone told me a big block chevy was a strait forward swap and thats just over 400 hp stock , you should look into it
