i'm gonna try and use the specV 6-speed, we'll see, the bell housing shoud be here soon. then its time to find the transmission. thanks for all the comments guys, should have some more pics soon.
wow amazing setup. sounds like mark from mazworkz has had his hands in this build. im just shooting in the wind but id say somewhere in the range of 750-900whp depanding on boost ect ect. seems to be what all the other 2.0 or 2.2 liter sr guys are pulling out.
id really like 2 see an awd tranny/drivetrain setup under this beast.. can we say 2 step and 1.5 60ft.... ftmfw alll day long.
amazing build man!
A GT42 powered SR will be awesome! I dont blame you for not going a bigger bore size, but the block looks strong. The rods look outstanding!
Now this is an engine/car build!!! We need more people like you around. Keep up the good work!

Awesome dude,But i wouldn,t bother with the 6 speed trannie outa of a spec V,your better off calling the boys at par in australia.... specv trannies aren,t as strong as everyone thinks they are.....
Not to belittle his efforts, but 6's sound optimistic. Maybe I'm missinterpreting what class he'll be in...
Pro Stock of course.

tube frame, factory backed, pro fwd cars don't run 6's yet. i only have one goal so far, which is the whole reason for building this car. if i can run a 9.9999999 i'll be very happy, until then thats the only goal.
ask fred casey about how he mangled his par gears.
I bet your sad to see NHRA go I know I am I was realy hoping to show people that nissan can run and do it well in the sfwd class ( I have never raced a NDRA so I am worried Sport compact is on its way out ) Very nice build must be nice to run a throw away rod wish I had the cash to do it... good luck and hope to see more pics...
I am guessing hot rod class ( or counter class is other sanction body)
just run the b15 trans with a different final drive. With the spec v trans you will be shifting wayy to much, you might as well launch in third with that turbo and boost.
Just my opinion but my best friends spec v with tuning and every bolt on possible spun the tires alot 1-3 and this was 225 width azenis. I think even with the slicks you will break the trans if not the tires loose till the top of 4th. I just think you will lose way to much time shifting and spinning the tires to make the 6spd worth it. Cunninghams na spec v busted trannies left and right when he was running the spec v na at the road course. His 300-400whp to your 600-800whp set up.
Just my .02 and somthing to keep in mind
