DRAG car build

i've had this car now for what feels like forever, and i'm finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. this is jamie ferrera's old sentra, i purchased it off the guy who bought it from jamie. turns out, it needed alot more work for what i was planning to do, so i'll try and keep the updates comming w/ plenty of pics, enjoy.
sent the de block out to golden eagle to get sleeved, still keeping the stock bore size.

sent it back out to Mazworx, for the machine work for the 1/2in arp head studs. apparently the normal arp sr studs don't like 40+psi of boost, lol.

also got the machine work done for the bigger bearings, and sleeves notched for the new rods.

the rods i'm using are from GRP, they are aluminum and weigh next to nothing. they weighed in at 410grams.

just to compare, here is the stock rod and piston.

here is the aluminum rod and cp piston.

pics of the cp pistons, compression ratio should be around 10.3 to 1.

the turbo is a gt4202r, here it is compared to a t25.

the turbo has a stainless tial vband turbine housing, AR is 1.15, it weighs less than half as much as the garrett turbine housing.

the mainfold is still in progress, and will probably change. i'm having it speced by burns stainless, so we will see. this is a pic of it on the mock up motor.

and onto the chassis, more bars still need to be done so it will comply w/ 25.5sfi spec, but i'm jumping around alot so i'll have more pics once i finish the cage and get it inspected, i'm using a mid-plate and solid aluminum mounts for the motor.

will update you guys as soon as i get a little further along, will be doing a dry sump set-up, and the car is going to be run on methanol. enjoy guys

this brings me joy!!! Finally there is someone doing an all out drag car. You my friend will give us fwd folks some limelight. There is a handful of us that are doing this but not to an extent like you. Keep it up!!! I guess there are 2 of us accounted for a sleeved block and 1/2" studs.

Very damn cool. I am glad this car is getting some love. It is a big part of SE-R history IMHO.
