What do you guys mean by abuse? I'd like to know so my p10 tranny can last.
If I'm already in 3rd gear lets say, and I wot, is that ok or is that considered abuse?

I believe there talking about slamming gears, I don't think thats is going to do anything to the tranny. but power shifting and shifting hard is bad on the syncros

dsm cars are a joke and break much easier than nissans do. I have yet to break a tranny in my b13. I learned better driving habits after killing trannys in my previous cars. I even blew up the tranny in my fc3s turbo and those are supposed to be super strong.

I had a running streak of blowing up the motor, tranny or both in every car I owned until I got my b15. I think I learned to take it easy because I got tired of down time. the last tranny I destoryed was in my b14 and I killed 2nd and 3rd gear.

Word. You know a seasoned boosted SE-R driver because every car they drive is granny shifted into 3rd gear. Hell, I find myself wanting to lift when my F150 shifts into 3rd...

tranny fluid?

JP, what transmission fluid did you use?

I have used redline shockproof religiously and knock on wood, I have yet to break any transmission; although I do shift like a granny because my car is close to 400whp, and don't want to take any chance, actually don't need to as i dont race

Cheers.
