B13 SR20DET WOULD NOT START. ONLY START WITH ONE PLUG OUT. HELP...

Hello all
I'm having lots of problem with my sr20det bluebird motor. It started idle like cams was in the car. I tried to figure out why but couldnt. I took the motor out and check for loose wires on the harness. Check and found exhaust leaks. Fix it all and put the motor back in. She started and ran for a few min. I turn the key off and she still keep running. I unplug the maf so she can shut off. I plug it back in and she started back up. I left it for a few days. When i return to start her no luck. She crank but would not start. I took out a spark plug and she start. I put back the plug and she just keep cranking. She would only start with one plug out. I'm not sure whats happening.
Help please.
FYI: I replace the stock blue bird cams with the 99 P11 cams. They look the same.
thanks.

are p11 Roller rocker motors? either way the DET cams have a higher profile than lowport cams. I don't know why you'd do that.

as for your no starting problem that seem way out there. never heard of being able to start with one plug out only. Maybe during your cam swap you fudged the crank timing????

dude epic failure.....
1: put the stock cams back in(have a pro do it so that the timing is not off a tooth)
2: if the car still runs after you turn the key to off that should be a clue that the wiring is not right.

I bet there are tons of ppl around your area that can help you out. gives us a list of your setup and lets see what ppl come up with.

not to be a d$%ck but if you didn't know that those cams are not ok to use then you might have installed them wrong or reinstalled the stock cams wrong. Find out if any sr20 peeps live near you and can help you out. I have had to fix alot of car dew to cam installs being done wrong. Now you said it will start if you pull one of the plugs that would tell me that your cam timing is prob. off....when it does start does it stumble as if it has a heavey cam in it?

A tech from nissan came over and he couldnt figure it out. The cams is install correctly. The timing is right. It would only start with one plug out. also the fuel pump stays on when the key is turn on. I'm thinking a relay but is switch the relay and still have the same problem.
1. bluebird motor
2. 50lb injector
3. z32 maf
4. jwt ecu
5. t3 turbo
This is all what i have on the car.

OK kool what fuel pressure is the ecu tuned for and what pressure are you running? If the engine is flooded it wont start it could be that simple. Check your fuel pressure and let us know. Oh and whats the ecu tune specs

How are you checking your fuel pressure? Vacuum or no vacuum?

Have you tried another ECU?

When you pull a plug, you mean plug wire, right? Have you checked your injectors for leaking at the fuel rail? Have you pressure tested the system yet?

There are TONS of basics you need to check. How long does the motor run after you turn the key off? Is it a few seconds, or indefinitely?

I'm checking with vacuum. jim wolf recommend 40psi

I did try another ecu. and she still keep on doing the same thing.

yes plug and wire out.. No leaks from the injector or rail. I also check the injector pluse and they seem good.

It ran for a minute then i unplug the maf plug so she can shut off.
