Hi nismo gxi. I am in the process of turbocharging a VE engine as well. I am re-using the pistons from my blown GTiR engine to bring it back to low compression. That's the only change to the internals I made. Well also installed ACL race bearings and Nissan rings. On the outside, I will be re-using the exh manifold with (new) GT2860RS turbo. My mech said that the exh ports don't line up exactly right and some grinding on the old exh manifold will be required. I haven't checked it myself as yet. Also re-using the injectors and rail, MAF, ECU from the GTiR. I haven't looked closely at the original VE rail to see if I can just swap the GTiR injectors in, but we are proposing the re-use the whole rail. We will have to fab some kind of bracket doo-hicky to screw to rail down to the stock VE intake. Aside from that, I will have to install a VVL controller afterwards.

I hope that helps.
