I just included that i checked it, because a lot of ppl asked me if cam timing was off, which it was initially (must have skipped some teeth when new tensioenr was installed). So which ground are you talking about? where is it located, is it the 2 ground wires that connect to the intake runner u are talking about? *** if os, that is connected

They are grounded on the intake maniflod bolts. On the side of the coil there is 2 connections i believe that are grounded there.

Do you even have spark?
Why did you change the motor in the first place?
How is your cap and rotor? if they are bad did it burn up the coil? Is the coil good?

same problem with new motor, I'd check either the wiring harness.. look for a short or broken wire, or else an ECU problem.

Try swapping another stock ECU in.

Hes got spark, hes got fuel, it won't start up even on starting fluid, I came over his house one time ( kinda bad time too right after a party) and I glanced at the motor, every connector is plugged in, it keeps on flooding out the spark plugs. TPS is set to .5V I belive- ECU needs to see 4V in order to go into CLEAR FLOOD MODE- where it will fire the plugs but won't fire the injectors. This is done only when someone floods the combustion chambers with too much gas and car don't wanna start. In order to initiate clear flood mode U need to floor the accelerator pedal and then crank the engine over. I need to look at the car again sober sometime soon.

i had this same problem, take out your plugs and make sure you vent your combustion chamber so that there is no fuel inside( the way i did it was take out the plugs and take out the fuel pump fuse under the dash the 15 amp one then crank it a couple turns, it will get rid of the excessive fuel on the pistons within a few turns )

take another set of known good plugs that were never heated inside an oven or with a torch and clean them with a metal wire brush or even faster with a round one attached to a drill or get a new set of spark plugs( iridium or platinum ) i had iridium ones in and it did exactly as you describe and i changed them out with platinum ones i think also make sure the throttle body butterflies are not leaning back past there closed position because that will cause your idle speed rpm to be so low that it won't start because it can't run that low it will just die

bottom line is change the spark plugs for a different set and make sure your tbs are all at or around the same closed line and not tilting further back/beyond what they are suppose to

let fuel pump prime first and then when cranking make sure you press the gas pedal when starting it up and it should fire up, mine did, its worth a try

and later change your oil after you get it up and running
