Do any of those tanks have openings big enough for ice? You will get bored adding 1 ice cube at a time.

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

Ahh, we found a place that sells just the caps that you can weld on, if you get an aluminum tank, you just cut the whole larger around the cap and weld this cap in to replace it. I will try and find the place that sells them.

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

Look great. I have a suggestion as far as cleaning it up. Thread all the ends of the piping that are for hoses and use AN fitings and nie braided lines for your recirc and vent hoses. Will look killer with the rest of that sweet setup.

Cool, the wide opening makes it very easy to dump ice in. I found the cap on Summit's site here. I'm using a Summit 1 gallon jr. dragster fuel cell that is actually just a Jazz cell that Summit sells as their own, it was only $62,

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

he's probably expecting 17s, if he's lucky and gets a good launch

you could hit 11s with that setup

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

I want 11's, but I think i want a fresher turbo before I start going crazy. This one has a ton of miles on it as I am the 3rd owner of it and it has been installed on a motor that blew up, lol! I will most likely get something similar, cause I really don't need any more power than i already have.

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

Only lag comes from the turbo itself. A setup like this with a GT28 or something would be just amazing I would think. Power pretty much all the time, similar to a supercharger.

Re: Finishing Touches on my beast

Track time is coming, kinda hard right now, lol! I wanted to last year but the car didn't run till almost July! I plan on a tranny swap though this summer, I have a funny clunk in there going on and I don't think the tranny is going to last another whole season.

also, check the crossmember bolts.

Brent--

Your project is looking absolutely spectacular, and I'm jealous. I cannot wait to see how that setup runs and performs.

Of course Rockwood is all over this thread, as he doesn't have a vagina turbo, like I do.
