Good power Nismova, but there is a lot of break up during the mid range and the top end part of the chart. You might have to go back in there and fine tune those sectors. I am sure after it is cleaned up there are a couple of more hp you can extract safely from that set up.
ITs a very lean dyno man...be very carefull... its looks like there is to much timing back .....good numbers..
I agree. If you look at peak torque, that is exactly where it starts breaking up. You either need a)less timing at peak torque , b)more fuel or both. I would fix the fuel first, redyno and see what the torque curve looks like. Whoever tuned the A/F must have thought that the car was NA.

Either that or it's a jwt 4bar ecu with 3bar fuel pressure.
of the 4 dyno runs I made, only 2 of my AF readings were any good (the shop's tailpipe sniffer blew off my muffler twice). The dyno runs I made were as follows:
honestly, I don't know if my motor was detonating at 3 bar at 10 psi, but from the AF reading, it did not look safe at all. It'd be interesting to know at what psi the 370's max out at, when running 3 bar fuel pressure. I'll probably be getting a device to check on this soon. At the moment, I am running about 9 lbs of boost at 3bar (vacuum hose disconnected). Been running it like this for almost a month, after installing my hallman mbc. I don't really hear any pinging, but maybe I ought to turn down the boost to stock just to play it safe. To be honest, I dunno what pinging/detonation sounds like, though while on the highway, I can hear a loud, random metallic ticking at like 60-65 mph (sounds like 2 coins being slapped together). I am thinking it actually may just be a loose part on my car, I'll have to check to make sure. I may also have to borrow my friend's compression tester again, to see if my motor's actually getting owned from the inside. Last time I checked (before turbo install), all 4 cylinders were reading 165 psi.

Detonation sounds like when one has marbles in a metalic container, from what you are telling me it sure sounds like the car is detonating. To be certain look at you plugs and see if you see any black peppery flakes on the porcelain. Also another sure indicator is to drain the oil and see if there is a nice silver finish on top of the oil as it settles in the oil changing pan.
If you need me to point you to a little device (which is easy to construct) in order for you to hear closer detonation in the engine let me know.

I turned down the boost to 7psi and it is still making the noise. The clicking noise is so sharp, that I can literally feel my ear drums vibrating from the noise. Does that sound like detonating to you?
I am thinking it has to do with the exhaust hanger I made (I think the washers are loose and clicking). My downpipe is like millimeters away from the front swaybar, not sure if that could be causing the noise.
Finally I got some numbers for the beater! 10psi uncorrected, smoothing on 0, 247.01 whp.
1999 G20 SR20DE lowport motor, 1994 Upper IM, BB U12 T25 turbo w/ manifold and J pipe, JGY front mount intercooler kit, Ebay intercooler, JGY 3" down pipe, 3" resonated test pipe, 2.5" CAI, NGK BKR7E, 370 cc injectors, Walbro 255, Nismo AFPR, Apexi SAFC-II, Turbo XS Bypass Valve, Turbo XS MBC, JWT S3 cams, Water/alcohol injection.
Say chief nice power, but those AFR in the mid range a little too lean for that amount of boost? Just my opinion, I would not have them at those AFR if I were tuning it.
Unless you are not orrying much since you are counting on the water/alcohol injection to keep charge temps. low?

Yea my thoughts exactly. Id like it lower but the car runs strong with no hint of detonation. I wasnt there when it was tuned, but I told the guy to bring the boost down. This same setup was in a P11, making the same power with a different, leaner tune. We never had any issues so Im not worried with this tune. Bigger injectors and a different MAF are planned, along with better tuning equipment.
Oh and without the w/a injection and AFPR the car would detonate at 8 psi and 220 whp. It definetly helps cool the cc and raise the oct a few points.
