Avenier DET powered 91 SE-R

Hello everyone, my name is Nick and I’m happy to be a party of this community and hope to gain some knowledge with this being my first Nissan I’m not all too familiar with them yet. Long story short got this car in a trade awhile back with the swap already done. Was running the stock avenir maf on a stock 91 se-r ecu. Not the greatest job was done with the swap but it was running. Just the other day my friends helped me install my newly tuned jwt ecu and z32 maf wired up/plugged in. The car fires up then just dies. It will only hold an idle with the maf disconnected and in limp mode. As soon as you plug the maf in the car shuts right off. When we first put the car together, it ran and started up just fine only for a short period of time With this new set up. Just to quit never to run again unless the maf is disconnected. My friend helped me with the wiring it was triple checked, all connections soldered even added another ground to chassis extra. I’m pretty stumped I’d be ever so grateful if someone had any insights or is willing to lend a hand and take a look at it I’d be more than happy to compensate. Just trying to make this car better and run well. Thank you guys.

I do have the maf coming right off the turbo inlet not a blow thru set up. Also there’s an HKS bov vented to atmosphere I know that’s not the correct way but it ran the jwt ecu and z32 maf just fine enough for a test drive

Try another MAF of the same kind and see if it will run while plugged in, usually the culprit is the maf as the car should shut right off as soon as you unplug the maf harness wire plug from maf unit.

When the rewiring was done for new maf did you disconnect the battery terminals?

Yes it appears the only option left is to try another maf. Yes I disconnected all power before all this was done.
