1st question:

Thinking about getting a 91 intake cam for my 97. Are there any dyno'd gains from this or are these just estimates?

2nd Question:

Any dyno'd gains from a high flow cat or test pipe on a NA car? I currently have a Stillen Header, Stock Cat & custom 2 1/4 cat back with a Dynomax Ultraflow.

Just want a few more horsies until I go turbo next year.

There's been proven gains with the 91-93 intake cam. I don't think there's much to gain with a high flow cat though.

What kind of wheel HP are we looking at? Just trying to justify $75 - $100.

5-8hp for $100? People pay 5 times that for the same amount of increase (headers, exhaust...etc)

I had the '91 intake cam installed in my car by Throttle Position Motorsports. It is a VERY worthwhile mod to do. I got it for 100 installed, and the power gains were great. My topend felt alot stronger (5500rpm till redline) I think a new one is around 150bux from the dealership, but I've seen ppl selling them on the forum from 75-100bux. check the dyno #'s in my sig.. that's all i can say

The times were at Desoto in Bradenton. It was on drag radials. 15.1 on street tires.

So anymore input on the CAT?

plano's car is not exactly a good representation of the gains from the 91 cam. His car is freakishly strong. My car made 138whp/128wtq which is a bit low but more along the lines of average. Low 140whp could be expected with other mods of course.
