I have the opportunity to buy a '94 SE-R for $1000. Here's what it has:
sunroof, ABS, airbag, HKS intake, hybrid KBD/Stillen header (i.e. the KBD
didn't have a flew pipe, so a Stillen secondary was welded in), GAB/H&R
strut/spring combo, GAB STB, HKS cat back wit ANSA tips, ST sway bars. The
car has about 120k miles, faded black paint, 5th gear pop out( a '94?????),
needs a input shaft bearing. A few summers ago, one of the #3 exhaust
valves broke in half because of detonation. The valve was replaced, but not
lapped, so the cylinder is a little weak. The driver's door was broken into,
and in the process, the outside lock was pushed in. What do you guys think?
Should I go for it, or pass on it, and be tempted by George's posted about
all the G20s on Ebay??

If the body is straight yes. The door is no biggie, the bag is intact? If so for $500 more you could have a nice 10:1 motor. That is a steal for a 94. Another $450 you could get a nice tranny. Scrap the parts you don't need and keep what you want. I think that is a good price. Besides I never saw a black 94.

Well youve got tons of parts... Dont you still have a spare drivers door? And then you got that tranny in you closet if you dont end up selling it to Ben. The rest is pretty simple work. Maybe a new head or atleast go get it done right. 1000 isnt bad and Ive seen the car it doesnt need too much work. Wait tranny picups are different aret they? Oh well... One way to think of it, is a spare car, track car, work car, a bunch of stuff. Well I say go for it if you got the spare cash.

If you have the $$$ go for it!!!
If you have 4 kids like me,.....hell no!!!
My SE-R is a '94 and I love it.
I paid $3,000 for mine in excellent condition. It has 126k miles and the a/c still works. Plus I have an aftermarket sunroof. ( the previous owner got it).
I couldn't afford to buy something to fix up.
I've tried it 2 times already and sold the cars cause I couldnt afford to fix'em up.
So if you got the DOUGH, Give it a GO!!!!!
