my hs cai maf adapter had the hole for the ats drilled in a location that, with the ats installed, it was directly in front of the air metering hole (hot wire) in the maf. i think this caused some of my drivability problems (never got a mil,however). what i did was drill a new hole for the ats and covered the old one with duct tape. i also used the oem mounting hardware (rubber washer, metal nut plate and screws)for the ats. assembled it just like the stock air box. then i used some sealant around the outside of the ats to prevent air leakage.
