Im just wonderin what all i can do to get free HP. I have advanced timing and i modified my airbox. But thats all i can think off. What else can i do?

Well its not free horsepower but if your a miser like me , you can take out the spare/jack/back seat and then move the battery to the back... your car will be quicker and feel more nimble. Just hope for no flat tires.

tighten your throttle cable, so there is no slack in it, not really any hp, just better throttle response.

Break into Jim Wolfs shop at night and snatch as many parts as you can fit into a pillowcase as you can. That should mean a set of cams, POP, ECU (read the label and make sure it is for the SR20DE) and some cash out the register while you are there.

But seriously, advance your timing and check out a webpage where someone used an open airbox mod (could someone please post that page?)

I just changed my oil and was checking over my engine, pulled out my ignition coil wire from the coil. Shinned a light into the coil wire socket and it had some green corrision in it. A few seconds with my dremel, all better. Then I put some dielectric grease on it. When I cranked it over it started up quicker than it used to. More horsepower? My guess possibly, better fire.

free hp....well there are things that have by products sorta. do a tune up that always helps. and usualy every car could use one

. Open air box mod is another good one, advanced timing costs cause you need premium gas. The throttle cable trick is cool. And stip the interior. I was so bored i thought about pulling out the seats and everything this weekend instead i formatted the computer.

Well, this isn't exactly free, but I run a tube from my ass to the engine. When I need that extra boost I eat a lot of beans and fart into the tube. Who needs NOS? This gave me like 50-100 hp to the wheels at least.

Um....drive downhill maybe? That's the only truly *free* hp trick I really know of.

Everything else costs too much damn money.

hmm the only thing i can think of and its not exactly free, maybe 10 bucks, but make an intake divider wall, like on the scc car, make a divider wall with aluminum or somethin, they tested it and was like 20 degrees lower after 30 seconds at idle, which is what the car is doin at any red light, so it could help, definetly couldnt hurt, eh
