The lower bolt (the big one that takes a 1/2 rachet to get out) is somewhat stripped and really stuck in there. I've tried and tried, but it won't budge. Any tips for loosening it up? I would hate to have to go to a mechanic for this.

Sounds like the tranny drain plug. If its stuck or stripped out, take it to a shop and get them to weld a bolt on there to remove it. make sure you have a new one first though.

Yeah, it is the tranny drain plug. Where should I look to find a replacement?

Yeah, my damn tranny drain bolt is stuck too. Luckly, I was taking off the transmission anyway so I drained the fluid out of the axle holes. But I'm gonna take that damn plug to a shop and get them to take it off.
