thinking of getting rid of my power steering, on my 91 ser, if so what are you guys using for a belt for whe water pump?

how are you going to put tention on the belt? the power steering pump is used to put tention on the belt correct?...

yea that is my dilema. I was thinking of extending the water pump pulley and run it off the crank but the crank pulley and water pump pulleys are different sizes, ill just run a belt off the crank to the water pump and use the tensioner on the alternator.
all my cars that I have dont have power steering so when it came to building a new engine for the sentra I really dont want the power steering, and the a/c, any ideas anyone?

Move your alternator with a custom bracket to line up with the water pump pulley and that portion of the crank. I assume you already removed the AC.

All you have to do is move it about 1/2inch.

Problem solved.

oh never mind, it was too much trouble se we just left the pump on but got rid of all the lines and pluged up the rest
