Hello fellow New England SE-R nuts.
In light of the convention going on May 25-28 I am organizing a New England SE-R caravan down to the convention.
1. If you want to go to the convention, you MUST fill out the forms and send them to Ray Kawski. It'll take you five minutes so do it. http://www.serca.org/convention/register/
2. We will be staying 4 to a room. You are responsible for your own reservation, I'm just telling you how we are doing it. It's $25 a night that way. Brind a sleeping bag and/or air mattress so you will be comfy.
3. We will be meeting at Acceleration Pluss in Wethersfield Connecticut (Just South of Hartford right off the highway) at 11:00am SHARP. We will probably leave A-Pluss around 11:30 SHARP. You miss the boat, you have to risk a speeding ticket to catch up. http://www.accelerationpluss.com/main.htm has on-line maps of their location. From I-91 going South towards Hartford get off the RT3 exit heading East. The shop will be about 1/4 mile on the left. The exit dumps right on their street. (See map #1 online)
From I-91 going North towards Hartford get off exit 24 and stay to the right. It will spit you out on the Silas Dean hwy. Go about 2 miles till the intersection of RT3/Maple street. (Sunoco gas station on right corner) Go right on RT3/Maple Street, shop is 50 feet on right.
4. If you plan on racing at the track, bring all your "stuff" with you. We may have Jack Laverty trailering his SE-R down with us, so carrying extra items will probably not be an issue. (Kick Jack $5 for gas or something) I too have a trailer, if someone wants to put their/my car on it and pull it down. My Jeep will not be making the trek, but I'm will to let my dual axle trailer be used. (lightweight 950lb trailer) Email me privately if you are interested in pulling my trailer down with your or my vehicle on it, so we can set something up.
5. If you would like to caravan down with us please send an email to [email protected] to let me know so I have an idea of how many people will be showing up at Acceleration Pluss.
6. Bring your Motorola Talkabout if you have one.
It can't get any easier, and this will be a boat load of fun...represent New England!
