Got back last night at 11PM after taking off from Dallas at 7:30AM. Had a couple of unscheduled stops on the way back. First was Eric Waterman's T-fitting for his oil pressure gauge busted and lost 2 quarts before we could stop. He was able to fix it with the help of my tools and some teflon tape from Larry Weeks. That took about an hour and fifteen minutes. Then we stopped for food and went our separate ways, me and Larry Weeks up I-55 and the rest of the folks continued on I-40. Next stop was when Larry Weeks and I both got pulled over in the middle of Illinois in a nasty speed trap where two cops took off out of a rest stop and nabbed us both at the same time. 81 in a 65. Larry seems to know how to play this game so he's pretty sure we can work it so we won't get the ticket on our records. Something like hiring a lawyer in the town with the court that knows the prosecutor and working out an agreement or something... he will educate me more on that matter. Then Larry found out his mom was in an auto accident in Indianapolis. Said she got the tips of two fingers severed. He was going to have me take Mike Jez to Chicago since his car died in Dallas, but decided he would continue to take him home (whew) since his mom was drugged up right then.
I was tired this morning but now I'm ok.
Get that pop installed yet, Bowlcut?
Email Mike Jez and bother him to send you his AIV tiny K&N filter if you are waiting on one.
Sorry I didn't get to hangout with you more, brian. Just so busy when I was there (not to mention tired). Would have loved to take a ride with you, drive each other's cars, feel the NOS, etc.
Really nice to meet you, Eric, aka NoVTECSER. Since you're as close as Larry MacLeod and all the Michigan folks, I'll try to visit you a few times this summer.
