OK fellas,
some of you may have already seen this on the main list but i thought id try over here while im at it. Last ngiht on the way home i heard a knocking noise. I thought it was a TO beraing or other clutch related problem, but i was told different. My buddy says it may be a ball joint. What happens is this. Mainly upon deceleration i hear the noise. it seems to go wiht the speed of the engine too. by that i mean, the faster the car is going the louder, faster the noise seems to be. As i slow down, the noise is not as noticeable, and at a complete stop, its not there at all. i can feel it through my floor board, and its not really noticable when im on the gas, maybe a little. Any explanations/ is it the ball joint like im thinking it is?!

Drive slowly (<20 mph) somewhere quiet with curbs. When you here the noise, push the clutch in. If the sound doesn't go away or change, it is related to the wheels and could be a wheel bearing.
The wheel bearing sounds like a metal on metal sound, but can be somewhat quiet.
