Been thinking about adding some nitrous to the mix!!

I have been thinking alot lately about adding a small wet shot to my car. What do you guys think. Maybe a 50 shot and I will still be running the stock 370cc's, stock T25 at about 10psi, stock BB ECU, and my SAFC. I think it wouldnt hurt if I were to use it in 3-4th gear at the track. Is there anything else that I should get other than a bigger fuel pump?

I know there was a guy down in Florida that posted on here awhile back that was running a big shot on his DET with the stock 370cc's and the T28 and he ran an 11.4 I think it was.

i think a 50 shot wet wud be great--(may need a performance head gasket, prob not), u do need a walboro for sure, and run premium gas, maybe a little race gas mix to be safe, and i wud use the shot for all gears (on slicks) just have it set up for wot (wide open throttle) and dont floor it completely off the line then slam it to the floor and slap through the gears. HAUL @ss!

I know for a fact that I would be in the mid 12's then for sure maybe even some 12's on street tires! NAAA that would be pusing it. So has anyone on here did this I never really see anyone talking about nitrous on their DET's
The turbine housing and internal wastegate on that T25 do not flow enough to regulate the boost when using a 50 shot. You will probably be ok with a 35 shot.

To run a higher shot of nitrous, you will need to have the internal wastegate closed off, and have an external welded to the turbo manifold. Otherwise, your turbo will spike to a higher boost.
You will be fine with a 50 shot and a t25. You really are not going to have any problems with the exhaust housing not flowing enough until a bigger shot. A 50 shot i really not that much nitrous, almost any motor will take it without a problem.

There was a thread about this a while back, Andreas and Mike Kojima both recommended NOT using nitrous with a T25. I don't feel like searching for it, though.

Oh, and one more thing. I was using a Nitrous Express wet 50 shot with my stock DET with T25. My boost spiked to 15 psi in the upper rpm's, wastegate was set at stock 8 psi.

With the 35 shot, the boost spikes to 10 psi with the wastegate set to open at 8 psi.
We run a 75 shot on one of boosted cars down here. The car is basically a stock DET with T-25. The car hauls ass. 10 psi and 75 shot wet.

Usually you would want a bigger exhaust housing and a external waste gate but honestly we have had no problems with this motor even less the turbo. I know alot of people "recommended" not to use it but at times you need to go learn for your self. I say start of at a 35 shot or so and move your way up. Just be cautious on how your engine reacts. If you feel that the car is going to go boom then don't use it but, like I said we have had no problems with the car we are running.

Can you tell me the setup you are using? I would really like to get the 50 shot going in my car.

The car has a U12 DET with FMIC, S4 exhaust cam, Nismo FPR, MSD 50lb injectors, JWT ECU, Cobra MAF, 3 inch exhaust, NOS wet kit.

Thats really about it. This is with a T-25

All I can say the car hauls ass. We regulate the boost with a Profec B. Like I mentioned before this is 10 psi of boost and a 75 shot wet. The car does not boost creep at all. In all honestly it is a very fast car.

That is crazy. Sounds fast. I wonder why mine creeps with only a 50 shot. I have a full 3" downpipe, 3" test pipe, and 3" exhaust.
Im running a stock MAF sensor would that need to be upgraged for any reason.
I really would like to try some nitrous on my setup it would comein handy for this weekend. There is a class up at the track this coming weeken that I would like to enter and win. $500 wouldnt be a bad win for me!
