·I have a 2001 Sentra SE and have been looking for a nice body kit to attach. Mainly just looking for front and rear bumpers and side skirts. I found a decent one made by West Coast Spoilers, but its available in fiberglass only. One person told me once fiber cracks, its over. And it cracks fairly easy. He told me to go for urethane. If it dents, it can usually be banged back out. If it rips, it can be plasti-welded. Its more durable end easier to fit to the car.
However, I got from someone else, fiber is easier to repair. Just head down to the local boat supply store and get a repair kit. It's also a lot cheaper than urethane. He also said painting on fiber is more likely to match paint, and painting on urethane can sometimes dry a shade or two off.
I've heard fiber can be a bit tougher to mold to the car and can be noticable (but only if you're close and looking for it), and that it's really down to a preference issue.
What's the word? Should I really wait an extra year for a urethane kit? Or is fiberglass just as good to use? Keep in mind that this is also my daily-driver vehicle as well as my soon to be autocrossing vehicle. (I realize body kits affect car classing.)
For anyone interested in checking out the body kit, go to:

go to gallery, car shows, SEMA 2000
Its about halfway through page 10
