I understand that the wastegate is the piece of hardware that limits the amount of boost. I understand that the BOV lets the boost go when you let off the gas. How do these electronic boost controllers (like the Blitz one Mike has) work? It would seem they would have to modulate the wastegate somehow in order to let the boost go higher. I've read that the Blitz one fools the computer somehow, but in talking with Mike Jez, I understand that the stock BB T25 has a built in, spring operated wastegate. How does the Blitz boost controller up the boost level?

The line that feeds the (built in) spring and diaphram on the WG with pressure has a electronicaly controled valve placed in its path. The valve holds the pressure back untill the desiered boost is reached. When it dose this the WG will stay closed and spool the turbo.

The box that controles the valve has a pressure feed from the intake manifold so it senses when the boost is at a set point.
