The boost gauge "tees" into the vacuum line leading to the fuel pressure regulator on the stock GTi-R configuration. You can use any source of manifold vacuum that gets a signal after the throttle bodies. This means that you will need to connect the boost gauge to the black vacuum box at the rear of the motor behind the plenum and abovethe power steering pump. There is one port for the power brake booster and 3 other ports for the FPR, BOV, and charcoal cannister.

That sounds right. You won't see positive boost until the engine is under load, so you'll never see more than 0 just revving it. Sounds like you got it right.
