hey guys i just had a quick question about advance auto parts brake parts cleaner... i bought some b/c it cleans eveyrthing in like 2 seconds... but does anyone know if its alright if some of it got on some rubber stuff?
Is it chlorinated or non-chlorinated? Non-chlorinated won't harm rubber seals and such. Either way, be carfull to not get it in your eyes, it burns really bad and then you have to have your eyes flushed at the hospital. Maybe consider wearing some goggles.
We clean old wheel weights off with brake clean. On BMW wheels it doesn't harm the wheel, BMW has a good thick clear coat.
We ruined the clear coat on a set of aftermarket wheels, seems the clear coat just isn't that tough.
BTW: I've had brake clean in my eyes before , luckly I had a eye flush station near by.
