Hey guys. I been reading up on the cai and always assumed a power increase. But I've been starting to hear that cars have been losing high end power with the cai and it may be affecting their 1/4 mile times. Anybody experience this? I'm thinking about getting one, but I dunno now that I've heard these things.

I pretty much CANNOT drive my car without a CAI. That thing makes such a huge difference.

I am one of the first to tell people the same thing White SE-R said back in like 97. I actually sold my MAF to fender pipe because I felt that the car was chocking up top. Took forever to get to redline. Excellent torque but after 5G the car felt slow. But I thought this was exclusively a NX2000 problem because of lack of airflow. (This is like the first SE-R owner I heard with this complain) This is a common problem with NX2000's. Also my idle would not drop below 1000 with it after a highway romp in the winter. But I am running a custom CAI now that does not go into the fender. That feels better to me now.

I like my JWT POP Intake. My car was faster just having it sitting in the trunk after picking it up.

I heard the PR CAI adds 8hp. I installed mine on the weekend, and I believe it. Not 20, though...

It is custom becasue I built the MAF to headlight pipe. It is not as easy as you would think to do. But it works.
