I just checked my plugs on my 15 minute break at work and i noticed that the insulator porcelin part just above the threads has burned marks on it. it looks brownish and its goes up about 1 centimeter from the threads. Is this normal?

the plugs are Bosch PlatinumS.
Not the +4.

The plugs i just changed had that too(NGK's) its normal. Those things get pretty hot. Just as long as its not like black or as long as it doesnt go too far up the white part you are ok cuz its the norm.
