I had an SR20de engine that had problem starting. I repaced the engine and after 6 days the lower bearings went out; metal shavings in oil pan. I was replacing the head gasket on the first engine and had a head bolt snap in the hole; block down. Is it possible to take the crank assemby; including the pistons and put it is the second engine? I can't afford another engine although that is what I would like to do. Finances are really bad right now.

It's the damn oil pump killing the SR20's.. It's the heart of the motor.

A machine shop will remove the broken bolt for around $25-30. It should be easy for them to remove. It's an aluminum block. Steel bolt.

Polish the crank and throw in some new bearings... Maybe some rings too. It'll be "ALRIGHT"

I tried using an easy out on it, it snapped so now that is stuck down the hole as well. Love the car. Hate the problems.

The machine shop can get it out. Trust me... It's an every day job for them.
