I was just curious how fast your engines are running while your just cruising. My NX2000 seems to like to stay between 2800 and up, but that seems high to me! Does she mind 3k rpm all day long?

Thanks,
Joseph

5th gear at 70 mph is 3150 for me. I think sr20de's love the rev. plus that's when the real power kicks in.

The auto runs about 500 rpm's less than a similar 5 speed. Larry McCloud in his stock with pop 200sx vs my totaly stock auto was 500 different. At ~71-72 on my speedo Im running about ~2750 or there abouts, its under 3k. I always keep it below 3k while cruiseing for max gas mileage.

These SR20DEs love to be run high and when a clutch job is needed (I love my ACT) save for a JWT aluminium fly wheel!!! It makes a world of differance. I'm not sure what my RPMs are at cruise as my cruise speed is a little high. I'll check it out. If you are worried about gas $$$ then she's ok at low RPM. Some engines hate low reves (like older bimmers), but Nissans don't mind.

I didnt say i didnt rev it. Actualy every time I drive it, atleast once a day when I am out, I red line it jsut to keep from sludging up. Just when you are on the highway crusing, why would you be reving high. Like saying I cruse at 70 in 4th, because the engine likes to rev.
