CV boot problems

I have ripped my cv boot twice because of this same problem. What Im talking about is the black plastic splash guard on the passenger side. It goes in around the axle and the edges on it were catching on my boot and ripped it. I just put another one in last night and tonight I checked everything out and found that that was my problem. So I just wanted to make a post about it to let people know thats something good to check on your car to make sure yours isnt cathching. What I had to do is just hacksaw that part that goes in around the axle off so I still have a splash guard for the engine. Hopefully this helps some people out but if not some good easy knowlede that I had to learn the hardway.

if you need a extra boot, i have a brand new one laying around, its the g20 boot, a little thicker (also used on the b14's) with the clamps and a grease pouch.

let me know.
