my right CV joint Axle has the inner boot tore (this is the one thats close to the transmission) it got torn about 3 weeks ago, how do i know if is totally damaged or if i just need to replace the boot.

i know that the boot thats close to the spindle makes a clicking noise when it needs to be replaced, but how do i know with this one??

yea i know, but i rather pay $40 than $85, but it all depends on the condition of the axle. hey allan are you free tomorrow?

if it makes any kinda of cluncking or or clicking noise that means the joint is already bad. most of the time it will be since no one knows when it acutally ripped so by the time you check it dirt, grime, ect got on to the joint. i would just get a whole axel just to be safe.
