Well I know I really don't post a whole lot, but first to make a statement to Chrissy - yes, us girls can drag race.

Well, I have had my NX2K at the drag strip at Brandenton Motorsports Park in Brandenton, FL, but I never ran impressive times (best up until now was 16.106 @
85.02 mph). I needed new plugs, wires, cap/rotor, and clutch.

Well, I finally got around to change everything but the clutch. Now mind you, the only mod I have is an intake and my clutch has 124,500 miles on it. This is what I was able to bust out with:
new plugs,
cap/rotor,
front tires @ 20psi
timing at 17

R/T = .777 (concentrated on speed not R/T)
60 = 2.294
330 = 6.559
1/8 = 10.081
MPH = 70.20
1000 = 13.142
1/4 = 15.711
MPH = 85.82

My best MPH was 85.90, ET 16.015. And my best 60' was 2.294

I will be getting my clutch installed by the end of the month and will try running with drag radials and try some slicks too. See how low I can get my 60' times. But I thought a 15.711 with only an intake and a clutch with 124,500 miles wasn’t bad at all.

yes, but you dont drag race at tracks... you drag race at strips.

a track is a road course

whenever i see someone post about days at the track i think there is gonna be turning and braking involved

I agree, I thought the same when I clicked on the topic,never the less. But, Damn, those are excellent times. You should absolutely be proud of them.

Pardon me. If you do notice, I do refer to it as a drag strip in my post.

I realized I used track instead of strip, but once you submit, it's too late. This forum does not allow you to edit the subject unlike other boards.

You would think this is a High School English class...don't be so nit-picky.

Nice improvement on your times....
