Trying to settle something. I thought NX2000s were designed in the U.S. (Calif.) specifically for the North American market BUT were built in Japan. Plain ole' Sentras were made in the U.S. (God bless 'em). Is this correct? Also, any difference possible between U.S. and Canadian cars? I'm asking because Wrenchhead (or was it CarParts?) will occasionally say "U.S. made" in their description of a part. TIA!

well I think some NX's were made in the USA and as well in Japan you have to look at your vin # to find out. If it starts with a J it was made in Japan but the NX is a world wide car they have them in Europe and in Australia too, in Europe they are known as 100 NX but I think they are only 1600 NX's as we know them in North America, umm as for Canadian and US diff, I think there is none except for the Speedo is in km in stead of mph that's about it. I haven't seen any difrents with my car compared to the one's in the US. Any way but if your looking for parts I think you have to becareful for some because the cars built in Japan differ from the one built in the USA in some ways, like the steering rack is one part I think ? Some one correct me if I'm wrong about any thing I would like to know

I think the Aus ones were made in Japan. We have 2 models both sporting the SR20DE.

NX COUPE - basic

NXR COUPE - features all electrics like cruise control, central locking , windows. Also includes mild dody kit same as NX2000 and GTiR pulsar brakes front & rear from the fatory.

...both are targa also.

Mine was made in Japan.
My '92 is a loaded NX2000 all the power accessories.
Better from Japan than Tennessee.
Do they have BillyBob's in Japan? - I think not.
