What are the mechanical differences between the DE and the DET? My understanding is that it's the same block and head, but the DET has a turbo and different connecting rods/crankshaft to change the throw so it lowers the compression. The pistons are the same, though, right? 370cc injectors too, but the fuel rail is the same. Everything else is the same, right? The reason I ask is because a lot of times on websites selling SR20 parts, they list them for an SR20DET and I just want to know which parts will fit my SR20DE.

DET, over the DE has: (talking about longblocks here)

8.5:1 pistons
oil squirters
higher volume oil pump
stronger rods
sodium filled valves

Everything else is the same, as in nothing is better than the other. Oil pans are different, doesn't really matter.

I believe this is everything. If anyone wishes to add anything i forgot, that's cool.

DET exhaust valve stems are 7mm, while the DE exhaust valve stems are only 6 mm.

You can use DET valves in a DE head with valve guides from a DET or KA24DE.

The sodium valves dissipate heat better, which helps resist detonation under boost.

Only the exhaust valves are different.
