I went to check my oil, pulled on the dipstick, and the tube came out with it. I couldn't tell what usually keeps it in place, it just slid right out. Should I just throw some gray stuff on it?
The dipstick tube, from the few that I've taken out is just a pressure fit. I usually use a long screwdriver and a rubber mallet to tap it back in place... place the screwdriver near the base of the tube, there is a square lip that works perfect for this.
