Hell yeah. Check this out. I just acquired a Techtom mdm 100 and did the follwing test. I have a G20 with a stock intake and my SE-R with the CAI. I ran both car at idle speed at the same time of day until their fans kicked in. Then I took the following measurements with the Techtom.
G20. When the water temp was 200 F I measured the temp of the air coming through the intake and the techtom read 145 F.
SE-R. When the water temp was 200 F, the air intake temp read by the techtom was 82 F.
A 63 F difference between the intake temperature in both cars. Un-****ing-believable. I know that at speeds the intake temp will go down for the G20, but it will also go down for the SE-R

Fast 1998 SE-R Last of the SE-Rs
Slow 1996 G20 (AGXs/G20t springs, K&N drop in filter)
