Dyno Results for Nizzan4u2nv

Well yesterday we had a group dyno day with the other nissan forums(Nissantalk). I was expecting to hit 150hp but I am not entirely dissapointed. I thought this was on a Dynojet but in fact it was a Dyno Dynamics dynamometer. From what I see it seems to be fairly inaccurate. As you can see the hp and tq curves do not cross at 5252rpm but rather past 6k  . They also did my run in 4th, IIRC na cars 3rd, forced induction 4th. This also questions the accuracy of their A/F meter. Even the dynojet is still inaccurate in comparison to a wide band such as a Horiba or AEM. Does anyone have experience with with this dyno? In reality I may have actually broke 150, the car is fully tuned and other with the same mods have put down more than me.

EDIT: Picture is kinda big so I will link it.

gotta copy/paste :)
its good that your hp doesn't start to drop off till after 7k....I'd say it might be in your interest to make a custom secondary for that header with a big 2.5" or 3" collector.....
It seems like your torque is really low. I put down 127 ft-lbs and 131hp, maybe it would higher if you dynoed in 3rd.

I hope that the a/f ratios are off, because you are running really lean if they arn't.

I thought 13 was optimal for N/A cars (or is it 13.5)? If so, 12.6 isn't really lean.

Either way your curve is really smoothe until you get into the very high RPM's and then it starts to bounce all over the place. That's not good, is it?
The reason the curves do not cross at 5252 is because ther are two different scales. Look at the left and right sides.

Do you really think an engineer would be able to design a dyno and realize the relationship between horsepower and torque?
^^Oh ok, now it makes sense. I have never heard of this type of dyno so i didnt know what to expect.

It gets up to 14.5 in the lower rpms Ryan....
It's that G20 ECU, you would've pulled through 150 if you have a Wolf ECU. The G20 ECU ain't gonna give you the fuel you need for those cams up top. You should have definetly, i mean DEFINETLY pulled over 150. That comp is cool for like the '91 intake cam swap, but doesn't have the correct fuel map for the S4s. You need the JWT comp. bad.
i would at least expect 145-148 whp.
i'm pretty sure you could squeeze an extra couple hp more considering you're running base timing, and the air was wet since it rained. it might even help to reground your maf, check your tps, and switch around those egr hoses.

josh, i don't see how you can say the g20 ecu is causing a lean condition up top, looks fine to me.
Can someone post his actual #'s? I can't get the file to work.

In his sig now..
Yeah I was expecting to break 150hp. I was really disappointed considering most people with the same mods are mid 150s. I was also kinda humid since it had just rained to that may have threw it off BUT DAMN!! I need to test on a dynapack or dynojet.
Hmm, 143 isn't all that bad. Throw in some UR pulleys and a JWT ECU and add about 10hp.
I wouldn't sweat it too much. Before you dynoed you thought you would break 150. On another day and another dyno you probably will. I did not break 150 with my car with about the same mods. I was disappointed for awhile but it is still my car with good power when I drive it so who cares. If you did not dyno that day you would not even know any different. Some motors will always be stronger/weaker than others also.
Ooh, the JWT ECU with the s3/s4 cam program will do even better.

Thats next on my list, after I fix my front end. Hit and runs suck. Ill post pics later, gotta go back to school.

Well if he's floored at 2250RPM then he'll starve his engine I guess. I know I'm never floored down there. It's pointless. ;)
