Anyone have more information about this? I need a new cat but I'm a bit skeptical since it is so cheap.

obviously it will not add 10-15 hp, maybe on the butt dybo. i would pm the guy selling and ask if it will fit your specific car. arent the 91 and 99 sentras cats different size?
I'm not sure why the inlet and outlet are different sizes. That would cause a nasty step-down at the outlet unless you got a custom cat-back made to keep the piping the same diameter.

Also, I wouldn't bet on passing emissions with this thing.
looks too sketchy to me... i'd stick with random technology or catco for replacements... and remember there isn't a lot of power to be had from switching from your stock cat to a hi flow unit UNLESS you are sure your cat is clogged or it is starting to smell like sulfur

I too, looked into these types of catalytic converters and have been told from the seller it's a fancy (polished) piece of straight pipe with no true catalytic converter function ie, emissions control and strictly for offroad use. I am awaiting the delivery of a MAGNAFLOW single 02 bung converter 94100. I recently purchased it from what I found to be the cheapest online exhaust site. www.fulllineexhaust.com (Click on their online store once you access the site) The converter cost me $66.00 (Free Shipping). ;)
Does the Magnaflow cat converter have the flanges already welded on there? I live in an area where the muffler shops charge ridiculous amounts for a little welding work so I would rather have something I can just bolt in and go.

I figured the ebay cat would be too cheap to be real. It looked like there wasn't much material that could be packed into such a small space.

I was only looking for a stock replacement to pass smog, so I just ignored the bling and the supposed hp gains in the item description :p
the site that paradyme posted sells direct-fitting davico cats for $103.83, free shipping. that's hard to beat!

No they don't. I bought flanges separately from VRS that will be welded on for the install. There is another option called V-band clamps. These are made so you can install and removed your cat as needed ie, street to track applications where you may need to remove the cat to install straight pipe for increased power while racing. I would also assume that the whole none cat thing would be for turbo set-ups. Here's their website. ;)

The muffler shop up in Oregon was trying to charge me $200 to weld on a Magnaflow/Car Sound cat. I just ended up buying a Catco cat from Summit racing for about 65$ after shipping, and welding it on for $40.
Yeah, buy your own eqiupment and parts is my advice. Some auto shops frown on the practice, but it really saves time, both yours and theirs. Since true service and dedication has gone out the window for allot of places. The least you could do is benefit from installaltion know-how, convenience and pay for the labor only. This way if you need service or installation you could be in and out without the stalled time of ordering parts and layover cost (The cost of keeping your car on someones property while your parts get ordered).
