Hi guys.

I have a 1995 200SX (S14) running an S14a ECU with wiring modified to match. Car also currently has ABS controller and I think airbag controller removed (done by previous owner). Engine appears to be running OK but I have a constantly flashing engine check light (flashes both with just ignition on and with engine running). Have hooked up a consult adaptor and datascan and am getting 'Code 143: Chain Of ECM-Immu' Searched what I can find on Nissan ECU codes and 143 does not seem to exist.....

Anyone come across this? I can reset the code and the check light then behaves normally (solid on with just ignition on, off with engine running) but after a while it recurs.

Any ideas?

Think I have found what it is but not how to fix it. I have an S14A ECU with internal NATS system. NATS module has been removed by previous owner (who has also stripped out Halo, etc). So car runs but I think the error code is because the main ECU is trying to talk to the NATS card - which isn't there! I can reset it and make it go away but how do I stop it coming back? I have heard that Horsham developments will take the NATS module out as part of a Stage upgrade, does this then result in engine check light or is there a way around it?
