Heres the deal, i have a 97 200sx ser(stick)
and theres a 96 G20 at a local junkyard
i want to pull the ecu off it but its
automatic. some of the post i guess people
werent sure or just heard from a friend if it worked fine.
so i wanted to ask this question myself.

1)Check light go on because its automatic and my cars stick?
2)One post,guy said weird idle 1500-2000 at stop lights.
whats the deal with that?

i do have the old skool Apex rev/speed meter but i lost the instructions
on which wires which to cut off and tap to eliminate the speed govern.
but i dont feel like cutting wires on the ecu. so i left it on my car
anyway because the rpms are more accurate.
but besides that...does anybody with a 95-97 ser has/had/tried using an
AUTOMATIC G20 ECU on their MANUAL SER? and how was it???
thanks...=)

The OBD-II auto trans ECU looks for the trans computer (it's separate) and will trip a MIL light if it is not there. Otherwise it's the same.
okay thanks...i'll wait for a 5-speed then because i dont like check lights.
