I have a barely used Escort Passport 8500 Blue. Comes with hard leather carrying case, power cord, suction cups, and the unit itself. This detector retails for $330 new. I am letting it go for $250 shipped because i don't have the need for it anymore. It has the new POP detection feature and was only used for the move from Texas to Washington state i took last spring. Rated as good or better than the Valentine One at over $100 less! pics on request

Yeah that damn radar really works I have the older one before the POP and it's range around a corner is very good. I paid nearly $200 for mine used. Damn thing really hold it's value, BUMP for a great item.

I have no urge to buy this since I already have a V1, but my girlfriend DOES have an 8500 (2 months old), and I can tell you that sensitivity-wise, this thing is VERY close to matching a V1.

But *I* also like to know what direction I'm getting tagged from too ;)

I should also point out..............the 8500 has a nice little in-built voltmeter for those with big stereos. Add to that a slightly different take on the V1's "bogey counter", and it's certainly a worthy addition to anyone's dash/windsheild.

In all.............a good product, and not such a bad price either.

Yep it's actually a little better than the V1 depending on what version V1 you have the latest I think being 1.7. The 8500 is one of the King of the road with radar detection it would be the TOP best if it had that directional display that does help a lot.

Like I stated I had my fair share of detectors even the garbage Rocky Mountain BOX but nothing so far comes to 8500, V1, and Beltronics 900's series.
