Like Lucino VZR posted on another thread, Escort racing has expressed interest in producing a header for the FWD SR20's. Bob and I were able to check out some of their products that they have for the 350Z and TT Z and the quality is outstanding! Bob could you post those pics you took here?

What we need to relay to them is exactly what we want. Like:

Diameter of primaries
4-2-1 or 4-1
Stainless, ceramic,...

Does anyone have access to a VE exhaust manifold so we can have its dimensions and A LOT of pics?

Don't ask when these will be produced, because all they have done is EXPRESSED interest. The more info we can provide, the better the chances of this becoming a success. Plus, they are willing to build these in batches. So they can just accomadate group buys, or smaller orders of that sort.

Thanks for reading and lets keep this thread strictly about what we want from this header.

Nice pics!

Would it be possible to make a racing oil pan for the FWD SR20? I know a lot of the track racers would be interested.

I already talked to them about the oil pan. They said no problem as long as there is interest. It's all about the number of people willing to commit on the product that we want. They can fabricate almost anything. The guy doing the fabrication, used to work at HKS Japan so quality is good.

The throttle body is for N1 VZ-R and it's for sale. If you're going to use this on a DE, you need the adaptor plate and port match you intake manifold for it to work.

4-1, 1 7/8" primaries and a 2 3/4" or 3" collector. I don't care about the coating :D

I want an oil pan as long as it doesnt reduce ground clearance and is designed so it will bend before cracking if it takes a hit (no cast aluminum like Greddy).

Mike, could you check with SE-R cup racers and see if they're interested?

This is the reason why I'm asking you guys to check them out. Let them know what we need for our cars. It doesn't have to be headers. Start a group buy or something on a product you guys want. Since we really don't have that many companies supporting the fwd sr20's, I think they are a welcome addtion to the few.
For a starter, I want to invite them on the up coming convention to show some of their products. I want them to see how serious we are and how big this community /market is. I'm pretty sure Martin already informed you guys about this so, I'll let you guys decide.

By the way, the oil pan is made of a thick metal plate. By the looks of it, it will do the job you are looking for.
Thanks

count me in for a pan then, a big capacity baffled FWD pan that doesnt affect ground clearance and can take a hit and bend not shatter is what the market needs. The SE-R cup cars hit their pans frequntly, sometimes you have to straddle curbs and stuff in a race and sometimes you screw up and go off roading!

There isnt much space for a pan though and some of the pan bolts will need tunnels for socket access.

Like Mike, I'd be interested in a full race oil pan with:
1 Quart extra capacity
Hinged "trap doors" to keep oil at the pickup while pulling G's
Good impact resistance for those big curbs at Road Atlanta.
