Well for the last two weeks I've had my dad's truck. Moving back from
school requires it, the trunk of a classic is big but not that big. Always
suprised on how much crap you can amass in one year, and now much crap you
can put in a classic(abet not as much as a NX I hear...). But driving
around a new Mazda B4000(= Ranger) was fun. 4liter pushrod v6(one year
later could have the SOHC *snap*).

But I get a letter from dad saying how he misses his truck but my car is as
fun as always. He found himself doing 85+ on the highway multiple times by
accident. Said it was so smooth he never noticed it and never heard a peep
out of stepmom complaining about him going fast.

Then last weekend he was going out and forgot where the turn off was to
where he was going. He was doing about 50 and my stepmom said its right
HERE, so dad cuts it and hits the brakes. LOL he said "I knew what I did
wrong right when I did it, and what you told me about the handling of this
car." Well he said the rear end came around a bit (love those classics and
the ability not to plow
) and he corrected and stood on the gas all while
acting like he knew what he was doing >:) dont hit brakes while turning
fast in a classic-point noted. But made the turn all while looking like a
rally driver.

Then the best part (sorta). The quickest most direct root to dad's work is
a back road. Fun road many fun turns, banked, unbanked, chicanes, all the
fun stuff. You can take this road at a brisk pace safely cause few houses
and little traffic, but as usual care is always taken. Well one morning a
sn95 'stang was following him he said. And it wouldnt quit riding his ass,
which he hates. So he said he sped up a bit. 'Stang had a hard time keeping
up
. There is this one 90 degree turn pretty hard turn. But he said,
"just brake way early 'slow in-fast out'". LOL he said he looked up coming
out of that turn and the stang wasn't anywhere to be seen...too slow
.
Never had much of a chance

Yes my dad racing my car
what is with that...isnt he the one thats
susposed to be lecturing me on such things. Dad taking that road at 70,
speeing past cops at 85, all that good stuff. Guess you can have fun at any
age...

But so glad to have the slushbox back...missed the baby.
